Next Blog?
Have you ever clicked on the "next blog" icon at the top of the page? Where did you end up? I've tried it a few times with interesting results. There seem to be very few active blogs out there, in English anyway. I've come across a lot of dead blogs, people start them and maybe have a few posts, then that's it, or no posts at all. Some of these look like they could have been interesting if they were kept up. There are a lot done by teens that contain very little or at least not anything adults can read (slang, gratuitous use of the caps key, etc). Then there are the advertising blogs with post after post of keywords or the same blurb over and over. And how could I forget, the porn blogs. Sigh. Well, they call them "erotic art photos". Uh huh.

Uh, weird, Blogger changed the process for posting replies. It's a bit confusing - do you log in first, or comment and log in at the same time?
Anyway, about surfing blogs. Yeah, I noticed Next Blog link when I was reading Niko's blog and spent about 40 minutes idly poking through blog detritus. I was also amazed at the number of abandoned blogs - I thought that all bloggers were as avid as us? Obviously not.
I much prefer poking around the featured blogs that are listed on the Blogger Dashboard. That's how I happened upon the Count Olaf blog, the Breakup Babe blog, and the Cooking for Engineers blog. All three kept me amused for a very long time.

One more thing...have you figured out how to search for blogs? I lost my Favorites link to Niko's blog and there was no way for me to search for her blog using Blogger. I had to just type URLs into IE until I got the right one.

The new reply feature is confusing.
I have not figured out how to search other than going into my profile and clicking on one of my keywords. Then I get other people with the same keywords. Not really very useful as a search feature.
