Gotcha! Captivity Redux

Selena managed to catch her rooster today!

Background for those who didn't know, Selena got a young rooster from a friend and he promptly escaped on day 2. We had some great suggestions on how to catch him but were unable to get close enough to try them. He's been on the loose all summer hanging out near the back of the house and roosting in the thicket on the hill. We got some young hens hoping they'd tempt him back to the front of the property but no dice. //shrug//

This morning he was up on the fence strutting his stuff. Selena went out to get some pics, then decided to try the old "maybe he'd like to get some" trick //wink// again and got Owl from the coop. Well, darned if he didn't follow that her all the way back to the chicken pen and right on inside. //happy dance//

Selena went backward one step at a time and Owl the chicken helpfully clucked. Raven the rooster is now happily (we hope) back on the inside. Phew!
