Paging Dr Doolittle
We added another critter to our menagerie this weekend. Selena acquired a bunny from a friend who "had too many." No doubt. \\grin\\ He's a cute little guy, apparently not yet a year old, and quite tame. He's now called Inu Yasha and settling into his cage very nicely. Not bad considering he was supposed to be a she.
We also found out that Dragonfly, Niko's pigeon, is a variety called Komorner. He or she wouldn't sit still to be sexed though, so we're still guessing there.

If you decide to get a companion bunny for Inu Yasha, make sure you don't put him in the same cage as another male bunny. Dominant male bunnies will chew the balls off of non-dominant male bunnies. Oh, and if you get a female bunny, put plywood between his cage and her cage. When mom and dad had bunnies, a male bunny managed to impregnate the female bunnies through the chicken wire and across a 1/2 foot gap between the cages.

Eeek! No more bunnies - at least not that way. I think if we get him a friend, I'll get him neutered first just to make sure.
