Happy Dance! I've Got a Job!
Fatima asked me to stay on at Vinoteca! I'm so happy, I really like it there. The only proviso is that I need to be faster. I'm sure that it won't be a problem to pick up speed again, seeing as I slowed down to match the pace of the kitchen when I first arrived.
So my first official day is Sunday. I have to remember to ask for time off for my graduation ceremony in September. Of course, I totally forgot to ask how many hours she'd have for me, etc, etc. Oh well.

Congratulations, Sue! That's excellent. I know you really like working there. Does that mean you'll get a couple of months off over the winter? That would be nice - kinda like a teacher.

Thanks! I'm not sure if she's closing down that long this winter, maybe a few weeks. I'm hoping to get into an apprenticeship level 2 course in Feb, so that month off would be perfect.

I found out today that the restaurant will be closed for January and February. 2 months is a bit long, so hopefully I can put in some hours at Fatima's other restaurant (Gossips) in January, then take the level 2 course in February.
