Misadventures in Dessert
Or as Ryan pointed out "Creme sans Brulee." My plan was to make creme brulee for Niko's going away dinner. It didn't exactly turn out. The custard was OK, the eggs cooked a little but still tasty. The problem was I forgot I don't own a blowtorch so the sugar on the top would not caramelize. //sigh// So we had Creme a la Mode instead. //sigh// Maybe by the time Niko comes back for a visit I will have perfected the technique (and acquired a blowtorch).

Geez. I forgot about Niko's farewell dinner yesterday evening. I'm such a git.
Things are just too crazy here with the packing and the moving. We spent today getting the house "presentation ready" because two groups were coming through tonight. //ache//
The creme brule (damned if I can spell it right now) sounds good, regardless of whether you had a blowtorch to harden the sugar or not.
Well, must go. Tired. So tired.
